Nurturing Future Space Leaders
  • Friday, 24 July 2026
  • 14:20 - 15:05
  • Location: Hall 4 - Space Zone Theatre

What could your future in space look like? As the space sector grows, it needs people with different skills, ideas and experiences to help meet the demands of the future market. This session looks at the current state of the space workforce, the opportunities and gaps that exist today, and what is being done — and still needs to be done — to develop the next generation of space talent. Drawing on recent experience from E-SGW, the wider work of SGAC and the voices of emerging space professionals, the discussion will explore different routes into the sector, the skills that matter, and how young people can start playing a part in shaping the future of space.

  • Moderator: Dr Billy Bryan, Programme co-lead - E-SGW Senior Strategist - UK Space Agency
  • Myrthe Bekkers - Junior Analyst at know.space, and on the programme team of E-SGW 2026.
  • Eugene Rotherham - Business Development Associate at Bryce Space Global, and deputy event manager of E-SGW 2026.
  • Linda Ngozwana - Intermediate Systems Engineer at MDA Space, and Deputy Manager of the Space Generation Congress 2026.
