The average cruise speed of commercial airliners today is basically the same as it was during the 1950s. However, given the recent successes of reusable launch vehicles, plus breakthrough developments in propulsion, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and other technologies, we now have the opportunity to bring about dramatic changes in long distance, high-speed transportation, both for cargo, and for people.

Having the ability to fly from one point on the Earth to the opposite side of the planet in just an hour or two will be revolutionary, not just for national security missions, but also for how we communicate, how we travel, and how we do business. This session will highlight the challenges and opportunities that we will face in bringing these capabilities to the marketplace.
